Farmers Market and Events: What do we have planned?
Hello again!
With the quietest months of the season behind us, we are ready to create a stir and get back to actively participating with our Yard community. We left 2025 with a good platform to build upon. We are proud of our accomplishments and expansion. Existing partnerships were strengthened and new ones were formed. Quality time was spent time with friends and new friendships were made. We found both strengths and weaknesses and plan to continue learning from all that we encounter and engage in. In the last couple of months, we have been planning and strategizing for this next season. Our goal was to reflect upon last year and modify and change the schedule to (hopefully!) engage our community and participants even more!
This season we are once again planning to have a weekly Farmers Market, but on an abbreviated schedule. This change comes due to acknowledging peak participation of 2025 and also allowing us to add a new scheduled monthly event.
Our farmers market will be open every Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Our 2026 season starts Thursday, May 7, 2026 and continues through September 3, 2026. With a brief hiatus on July 2, 2026.
We are excited to announce “STAY LOCAL SATURDAYS” – A once a month market event, held on the second (2nd) Saturday to serve as a community-building platform to attract people to the Clarksburg district, highlight local businesses, and reinforce community identity. We hope to support entrepreneurship and build local economic opportunities. Each event will center on a theme; we plan to have activities, vendors, food and fun! These themed gatherings will feature local vendors, artisans, food partners, interactive activities, and family-friendly experiences that encourage neighbors to shop local, connect intentionally, and engage with one another in a dynamic and supportive setting. Beyond commerce, our goal is to cultivate local economic opportunity, encourage entrepreneurship, and create a recurring destination event that reinforces pride in our community.
Saturday events are scheduled from 10AM-2PM.
EVENT DATES: To be held on the second (2nd) Saturday of the months May through December 2026. Exact dates are as follows: May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, September 12, October 10 (Fall Fest), November 14 and December 12 (Yuletide at The Yard).
We are looking for vendors for both the farmers market and S.L.S. Events. Vendors, you can choose to participate in either or both. Each event will have its own application, costs and parameters.
We invite passionate makers, small business owners, nonprofit partners, and community organizations to participate in this growing tradition. Whether showcasing handcrafted goods, sustainable products, innovative foods, educational resources, or creative experiences, we welcome those who share our commitment to excellence, collaboration, and community enrichment.
