The Clarksburg Market Turns One (Month)!
The Clarksburg Market has officially been open for a full month! We’ve learned a lot, adapted along the way, and heard all the feedback from our vendors and community. The warm welcome and positive response have been incredible. It’s clear everyone is just as excited as we are to see the Market grow.
For those asking for hot food options, we hear you! We’re working on some exciting partnerships to bring more delicious choices soon. After all, who wouldn’t want to stay for dinner at The Yard?
In the meantime, Pacha Mama Juice Co. is here every Market Thursday with fresh-pressed juices, smoothies, and acai bowls, alongside The Ice Cream Yard truck. Their refreshing, fruity cold treats are perfect for warm days.
I’ve already shared a bit about our first two vendors, Sandy Spring Gardens and Blooms by Floribunda. Since then, the market has grown to 12 wonderful vendors! Here’s a peek at what they’re bringing to the table.
Looking for fresh meat? Bryant Livestock, a family run farm from Frederick, Maryland, supplies cuts of beef, goat, lamb, and pork. They also offer homemade items like goat milk lotions, candles, and custom wooden boards, perfect for charcuterie lovers.
If plants and flowers are more your thing, Peter from Rolling Ridge Farm is here every week with a vibrant selection of hanging baskets, potted plants, and seasonal vegetables. Alongside him, Moon Rising Farm offers indigenous plants and plant nutrition in the form of wool pellets, courtesy of their hardworking sheep.
We’re thrilled to welcome Lauren and Kara from Comus Farm! When they are not hosting beautifully curated events on their farm, they’re bringing fresh eggs, pastries, baked goods, canned fruit, jams, handmade soaps, and more to our market.
No market is complete without baked goods and sweet treats. Bread and Cupcakes is stocked with sourdough bread, focaccia, scones, fresh cookies, and a variety of gluten-free options. Their treats were so popular they sold out on opening day. Don’t miss them this Thursday!
Tes from Whisking It All adds a Filipino flavor to the market, reimagining classic desserts with flavors like ube, coconut mango, and matcha. Her soft and fluffy Mamon cakes are my personal favorite. Showcasing talented local businesses like Tes’s is what makes our market truly shine.
Keep an eye out for the bright pink tent of Baby Kakes, offering Mexican churro cakes, candy cookies, cosmic fudge brownies (yes, those!), and more. A nostalgic treat for anyone with a sweet tooth.
There’s no shortage of art and creativity at The Clarksburg Market! Todd from Todd’s Pottery crafts handmade bowls, vases, and plates with beautiful landscapes. Don’t miss his “worry stones,” perfect for finding a moment of calm or fidgeting. Worthy Lady offers unique women’s clothing, accessories, and jewelry for fashion-forward shoppers. And Ryan from Ryan Makes has captured every kid’s heart with his imaginative 3-D printed creations.
We also have new vendors ready to join us this month, so keep an eye on our social media to see who’s coming next! We’re dedicated to making this market a place where local talent can truly shine, while offering Clarksburg a vibrant and delicious community event that everyone can enjoy.
