The 411 on Funding: We Got Another Grant!

Big News: We’ve Been Awarded the Green Space Equity Grant! 🌿

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve received The Green Space Equity Grant from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. This incredible milestone propels us into the next stage of development for Phase 1.

Where Will the Grant Go?

This funding will cover 50% of the construction for the highly anticipated outdoor seating and play areas. These spaces are a core part of our vision, and we're excited to begin turning the plans into reality.

Behind the scenes, Beth Wolff has been hard at work, meeting with county officials, attending community forums, and crafting grant applications to help bring this vision to life. To date, we’ve applied for 13 grants and successfully secured 5.

With this latest grant, we're ready to move forward with outdoor site construction for Phase 1. As this grant covers half the cost, we’re actively pursuing additional funding to cover the remainder. Once it begins, we expect construction to take approximately 4 months to complete.

We’re watching this dream come to life, and it’s all thanks to the community and partners who believe in this project.
